My stay at Hotel Camelia was decent overall. The cleanliness of the hotel stood out, and the location near Termini made getting around a breeze. However, I was disappointed by the breakfast options, which felt quite basic and repetitive. The room I had was compact but tidy, although the bathroom could use an update. It's a safe area, but walking around at night felt a bit sketchy at times.

Rooms

The room was compact but immaculately clean. The bathroom, however, felt a bit cramped, and there was no kettle or coffee facilities. Also, I had some trouble with the soap dispenser during showers.

The staff, especially Alessandro and Gino, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided great tips for exploring the city and were always there to assist with my inquiries.
Location

The hotel is super close to Termini, making it easy to hop on the metro or bus. While the area isn’t picturesque, it is convenient for accessing Rome's major attractions within 15-20 minutes on foot.
Dining

The breakfast wasn't great; it consisted of just a croissant, coffee or tea, and juice every day, which was pretty disappointing. I was hoping for more variety.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were alright, with good hot water availability. However, sound insulation wasn't the best; I could hear doors slamming in the morning, which disrupted sleep.

I had a generally positive experience at Hotel Camelia, enjoying the friendly staff and decent breakfast options. However, I found the location to be a bit gritty and the room I stayed in was somewhat small, making it challenging to navigate with my suitcase. Overall, it was a good base for exploring Rome, but it had its quirks.

Rooms

Location

While the hotel's location was close to Termini station, which was convenient, I found the surrounding area a bit rough, especially for evening walks.

Breakfast was a typical continental setup with a good variety of pastries and drinks, though I would have enjoyed some additional hot options like bacon.
Facilities

The amenities were decent, but I missed having coffee-making facilities in the room, and food wasn't allowed to be eaten in the rooms, which felt a bit restrictive.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located near Termini station, which made exploring the city a breeze. However, I did experience a cramped room when it was set up for three people, making it a bit difficult to manage luggage. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again if I return to Rome.
